Henry Le “Soul Energy” – Solo Exhibition

The Arsenale Nord in Venice hosts, for the first time in Italy, the solo exhibition of Vietnamese artist Henry Le entitled Soul Energy, a collateral event of the 14th Arte Laguna Prize exhibition.
The exhibition project, curated by Chiara Canali and promoted by MoCA Italia and Arte Laguna Studio, features forty large-format paintings and an installation of human-sized iron sculptures.
The title Soul Energy refers to the energy that pervades Henry Le’s soul, a fundamental element that allows him to transfer his spiritual world into artworks, giving them a rhythm and life of their own. Quoting Oscar Wilde’s famous line “A flower blooms for its own delight,” Henry says his works exist like flowers: you can enjoy them or profit from them. But those works continue to exist and maintain their emotional life.
HENRY LE
Henry Le (Le Huu Hieu) was born in 1982 in Nghi Xuan, Ha Tinh, Vietnam, and lives and works in Hanoi.
Hailing from Vietnam and with a background as an architect, Henry Le has chosen artistic research as his life’s priority experience for more than a decade, placing it at the center of all reflection, ideas and visual practice.
His painting, while appearing to be influenced by some currents of Western-based informal and gestural art, has characters of strong autonomy and uniqueness, allowing him to express a disruptive expressive energy and the identity concepts of his work.
