We sadly bid farewell to Annibale Toffolo, Honorary President of the MoCA Association, who passed away unexpectedly yesterday, September 29th.

Over 50 years ago, he began his career by founding the magazine TasteVin with Giuseppe Maffioli, which over the years has become a reference point for Veneto food and wine. Annibale Toffolo was a journalist, editor, and avid art enthusiast, becoming part of the MoCA family and working to promote culture internationally, including through his magazine.

“The Veneto region has lost a landmark of its identity. With the sudden passing of Annibale Toffolo, our region has lost a great communicator of its food and wine traditions, a heritage he helped, like few others, to publicize through the pages of magazines and in his unforgettable appearances at themed evenings.” This is how Veneto Region President Luca Zaia also remembered him, once again underscoring his importance and the passion that drove him throughout his career.

All the members, the president, and the founder of MoCA gather around his family and friends, remembering him as a man who marked the history of the Association.

Goodbye Annibale, you will always be part of our history and your love of art and culture will continue to inspire us.
